My Christmas Eve

Hello world!

It's a bit late, but MERRY CHRISTMAS!

May good tidings come to you and all your kin!
May there be joy and peace on Earth!

I wish this was my Christmas tree, but no.

We went ice-skating on Christmas Eve <3

We don't have snow here, but we do have ice. Everyone wanted to get in the mood though, so it was really crowded. If you plan on visiting Sky Rink at Mall Taman Anggrek, you may want to come on a weekday, not on a big holiday or on weekends. The rink is always crowded, but chances are there will be less kids falling over, and less reckless people zooming in and out. We didn't have too much trouble with the crowd though. So if you're a pro (I'm not saying that we are in any way ;P), you'll have no trouble finding your path around the ice. There's always people-free spots on the ice. Teehee!

In the morning, we went to a local beauty parlor and got manicures together. This was my first time getting a manicure. We all picked our designs from my friend's iPod. I went for tribal designs partly because I'm fangirling over a tribal video game character these days I think tribal designs are cool.

Our painted digits!

Munched on local Asian desserts at Honeymoon Desserts. This is Coco Mango Tofu Pudding. The menu and the cutlery here are infested with little smiling infants. Cute and creepy at the same time. Everytime I eat a spoonful, the baby looks at me cheekily. I couldn't quite sort out my feelings then.

Share Tea! Clockwise from top left: Wintermelon Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese, Okinawan Milk Tea and Brown Rice Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese.

This is by far my favourite type of 'tea' (I put quotation marks because I also like good old plain tea). It's not bubble tea since it has no bubbles. This one is called...'Brown Rice Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese'. I opted for less sugar (80%) as I often found them too sweet at various places.

At first I thought it sounded weird. Salt. Cheese. Tea.

But I'm glad my friend's friend recommended it to her, hence she recommended it to us. Take note, new businesspeople: Word of mouth is a really effective method of publication. It's so very delicious! I was at a loss as to how to drink it though, and ended up removing the cover completely. Lol :P

The white foam on top of the tea is cheese, and it's heavenly. I was looking for the 'rock salts' but gave up because the ice and the clear tea colour camouflaged them too well. Overall, this is a unique tea that is more on the salty side. This is definitely my brother's kind of tea. Not sweet, but salty-ish. My friends ordered two other versions of Rock Salt and Cheese teas: Wintermelon and Cocoa. They are both more sweet than mine, but that's probably because they picked the normal sugar level.

What brought laughter to our afternoon tea session was the fact that the guy spelled all of our names wrong MISERABLY. Two of my friends used 'cooler' names, only to find that the guy butchered them all up. It was a good laugh though. Hahaha!

  1. Looks like you had fun! It's jolly great to know that the Christmas spirit is all over the world! The tribal designs are indeed cute and I love ice skating! You (or your friend, if the one on the left of the second picture on this post is not you) look like you're wearing a cute outfit! Great post, anyway! I also had fun during Christmas last year :):)
