Some of my friends think that it's somewhat ridiculous that I've never been there.
They are big fans, after all.
One of them, who is also my lovely neighbour, claimed that I 'have not lived' if I've never tried Tony Roma's ribs. This saying had stuck to my head ever since it came out of her mouth.
Was it really that good? Was it really so delectable that I supposedly 'never lived' if I've never eaten it? I was overflowing with curiosity. In fact, I'm often so filled with curiosity that I think I'm abnormally inquisitve.
If anyone was good at advertising via word of mouth, it's my friend, the Pink Princess.
Pink Princess is my neighbour and the only girl in my 'clique' whose age is the same as me. The other three, Josie Buttercup, V-man Brain and Lady Agata are all a year younger.
Eloquent as she is, she managed to save me and my other friend, Josie Buttercup, quite a sum of money with her impressive bargaining skills. I wish I could haggle like her, but I lack the umm...persistence to do so.
Anyway, back to the topic. Here's what we ordered last night:
Some onion rings
And their original baby back ribs
This was our first meal at White Hunter (with some Korean food from a restaurant nearby)
White Hunter is another Western-style eatery specialising in baby back ribs. Their original sauce tastes quite different from Tony Roma's, maybe because it (as claimed) contains wine. My brother and I particularly loved their batter-covered fried enoki mushrooms. I'm a huge fan of mushrooms.
I also liked the fact that they provided extra sauce for dipping, just in case the sauce already on the ribs didn't suffice to give enough taste. I think my ribs from Tony Roma's were a bit dry inside, though tender and had more meat than White Hunter's. Although the sauce was quite abundant, it wasn't really absorbed into the meat. I would still go there again though.
Thanks for recommending it, guys!
Oh, and ff you guys are reading this, sorry for the random nicknames ;D
Until next time!
