We visited Malaysia last December, it's been nearly one month since then. It was a no-frills trip, mostly we focused on quality family time, shopping, and food. :)
We also went up to Genting Highlands for awhile. I was blessed to have been able to frequent (we'd go there nearly every year when I was younger), so I'd seen through a lot of its phases, like the circus shows that always seem to change every time. Some of my fondest memories of Genting include abusing my turns at the Rodeo Rider thingy when my height was still allowing, watching the amazing Da Huang He acrobats perform for FREE at the outdoor park's square, nearly bawling when I nearly exceeded the weight limit for those fancy round-tube boat rides (but was instead able to get on the Super Tobogun ride, which would later become one of my favourite rides there), eating cha ye dan (herbal tea eggs), and so much more xD
Have I mentioned that First World Hotel has one of the most enjoyable breakfast buffets ever? It's always so crowded in there that the competitiveness makes the already-delicious food even more delicious, with just a dash of accomplishment of having been at the scene first ;)
As you can see in one of the pictures, the outdoor park's being demolished, and is going under reconstruction. It is set to re-open in 2016 as the world's first Twentieth Century Fox theme park :D
Am I sad? Maybe just a little, but nothing lasts forever. However, it's all fine in the end once they've snugly made their way into a permanent space inside your heart :')
Have you ever been to Malaysia? If so, how was your trip? If you've never been to Malaysia before, then I hope you will find the opportunity to do so one day, and that this post has been an interesting read for you!
Hopefully you have enjoyed this picture-heavy post! Thank you very much for reading!
Until next time :D
